Tressa’s Bridal Portraits in Hye, Texas {Destination Wedding Photographer}

I am so excited to finally be blogging these photographs!

I flew down to the beautiful Texas Hill Country in January to take my cousin Tressa’s bridal portraits. Bridal portraits taken prior to the wedding are pretty regularly done in the South, and usually displayed at the reception.  But they aren’t not very common up here in CO. I had reallyalways  thought of them as an extra, and maybe even a slightly outdated custom, but I am now totally sold on them.

Weddings are so, so rushed (Tressa’s was last weekend, and it was a whirlwind! Photos to come…). Having even 20 minutes to devote to bridal portraits on the day of your wedding will be a big chunk of time. Scheduling a bridal session beforehand gives you hours of time to take photographs in multiple locations at a time of day that is perfect for glorious light, without worrying about missing any of your reception. As an added bonus, you get a complete hair/makeup/dress/ accessories trial run! And, more importantly, it gives you amazing photographs of yourself as a bride!

So, there’s my newly-converted testimony…Check out the proof! Current brides, if this is something you are interested in setting up shoot me an email!
