When I was a very little girl, my favorite book was Once Upon a Time in a Meadow, by Rose Selarose. It is a sweet little story about 6 cousins who live alone with no grown-ups in a beautiful little cottage house in a meadow and go on a wonderful picnic that ends with rescuing a cute little bunny. I was absolutely charmed by this story, especially because I was one of 6 little-girl cousins myself.
My daughter is lucky to have cousins of her very own now. Sadly for us (but happily for them), one of her cousins is about to move off to Oregon this week. So several weeks ago we got the three little girls together for a photoshoot partly inspired by my memories of my favorite childhood story book. It was just our luck that the trees at Eisenhower Park were all in their Springtime finery.
Bon Voyage, Emerson Belle! You will have wonderful adventures in Oregon!
We started with just Emerson and Amelia – they’re only 5 months apart and have been best friends for almost 4 years now.
Adleigh arrived to join in the fun…
