Shannon and Mike {Colorado Maternity Session}

I keep saying this, but I adore shooting maternity sessions :). Every time I shoot one I also sincerely wish that I had taken them when I was expecting my own kids. Unfortunately, I had the same misconception that lots of women have – that maternity sessions are all done in studios with very little in the way of clothing. These can be absolutely gorgeous, of course – I’m not knocking that style by any means – but not everyone is comfortable with baring it all when they’re 8 months pregnant.

I met up with Shannon and Mike at Daniels Park. When we arrived it was raining, so we waited it out in the shelter house for a few minutes with their super-cute dogs. We were rewarded for our patience by a gorgeous rainbow. And then a double rainbow! Magic! Here are a few of my favorites from our session. I can’t wait to meet their little one in month or so!
