It seems like no time at all has passed since I was taking maternity pictures with Jenna and John by Boulder Creek. Now sweet little Max is 9 months old! He’s been so, so much fun to photograph all year long – can’t wait to see him again at a year!

Matt and Tessa’s Engagement Session – Red Rocks, Colorado

Tessa and Matt are planning a destination wedding here in Colorado this summer, and were in town recently to finalize their plans and fit in an engagement session. We were a little worried at first – the sunny skies and warm weather we’d had all week had taken a turn towards cold and rainy the weekend they were in town. It turned out there was nothing to be concerned about – the cloudy skies were a beautiful, dramatic backdrop for gorgeous Red Rocks, and the rain was barely noticeable.

Tessa and Matt, after spending a couple of hours with the two of you I am more excited than ever about your wedding! If it’s even half as fun as the two of you, it will be amazing :)

Maybe it’s because I get such awesome clients, but I feel like I am constantly talking about how awesome their weddings are. But, it’s true, so I’m going to say it again (and probably all wedding season…).

Lauren and Phil had a wedding that made me oh-so grateful for being alive and capable of experiencing joy and love and wonder. They were so relaxed leading up to the ceremony – you could tell that all of the wedding “stuff” (which was beautiful, and amazing and really, really fun) was 100% secondary to the fact that they were promising their lives to the person they adored. And capturing that is why my job is the best job on the planet. Check out some of my favorite photos from their beautiful day below…

I really do have the best job ever: I spent this past Sunday morning playing with this adorable little guy. I love photographing babies at all ages, but there is something extra special about 9 month olds.
